Boston University Law School (BU Law) provides experienced practitioners with the valuable opportunity of advancing their legal education despite their inability to undergo typical 9-month long on-campus programs. This is through BU Law’s online LLM offerings. These programs are world-renowned, ranked best in their specific fields and most importantly, can be accomplished either completely online with very little residency requirement.
Currently, two online LLM programs are offered by BU Law, including the following:
- Graduate Tax Program
- Executive LLM in International Business Law
The Graduate Tax Program is a top leading LLM tax program of BU law made available in an online instruction format. Through this platform, students are afforded either basic or advanced training in tax law in a manner that is accessible and convenient, even for those with a busy career.
The program is quite flexible that students may opt to complete it part-time within as few as four consecutive sessions or for as long as four years. This format takes into consideration the hectic schedule of many professionals who want to get an LLM degree but are otherwise tied to their careers. With three intakes each year, i.e., spring, summer and fall, students are afforded utmost convenience.
Application deadlines for the 2018 online Graduate Tax LLM program are as follows:
- Spring 2018 – closed
- Summer 2018 – 30 April 2018
- Fall 2018 – 31 July 2018
The Executive LLM in International Business Law offers a blended format unique among other LLM programs. It combines online instruction with two-week residency sessions that can be taken either in the Boston campus or in Budapest. This program has no formal application deadline but early submission is encouraged. Applications will be considered on an on-going basis as long as slots are available.
