William S. Richardson School of Law Offers LLM to International and US Students
LLMs are the best choice for students who have only one year to dedicate to perfecting their education. The LLM program offered at William S. Richardson School of Law focuses primarily on US and international law allowing students the opportunity to earn a certificate for their specialization within the year.
The LLM program at William S. Richardson is also ideal to prepare students wishing to enter the NY and DC bar examinations.
Students who achieve top scores during their LLM program attendance may be considered for a transfer to a JD (Juris Doctor) program. This is not a common practice in LLM programs and can be a great opportunity for talented and ambitious students.
The law school will accept applications in the period between October 1st, 2019 and May 1st, 2020. During this time the admissions will be accepted on rolling bases and the school faculty notifies each applicant about their decision.
Applicants who breach the deadline and submit their documentation after May 1st, 2020 will be considered if there is space left in the program.
In order for students to be considered eligible they need to hold a law degree (or its equivalent) or if they are foreign students, hold a license to practice law in a foreign jurisdiction. Furthermore, students that are not native English speakers will need to provide a TOEFL score of over 580 as proof that they are capable of keeping up with classes held in English.
