Willis Towers Watson, a global multinational insurance company, is welcoming the new board chairman in place of James McCann. James McCann will stay at his place of director and chairman of the nominating and governance committee, while Victor Ganzi will replace him as the board chairman, effective January 1, 2019.
For the past three years, Ganzi has been the director of Willis Towers Watson, after previously serving as a director of Towers Watson, before its merger with Willis Group Holdings.
He was also the chairman of the Tower Watson’s audit committee since 2010, the position which he also held at Willis Towers Watson until the new appointment. He will be succeeded as the committee’s chairman by Brandan O’Neill, who was a director until now.
Ganzi boasts extensive work experience ever since he graduated from Fordham University with a BSc in Accounting, and since he earned a JD from Harvard Law School and an LLM in Taxation from NYU School of Law.
He was a director of Gentiva Health Services, Inc., Wyeth and Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc., before working as the managing partner at Rogers & Wells. Afterward, he joined the Hearst Corporation, where he held the positions of executive vice president and the COO, before being appointed to the position of the CEO, as well as the president of Hearst.
Today, Victor Ganzi is a consultant and corporate director on various boards across numerous different industries.
Speaking about his new appointment at Willis Towers Watson, Ganzi said: “I am very much looking forward to building on the foundation created over the past three years and taking our company to the next level.”
