The University of Manchester Offers its Thai LLM Students an £18,000 Scholarship

The University of Manchester School of Law is offering eligible LLM applicants a scholarship worth £18,000. This will not be directly given to the student but will serve as a tuition fee waiver up to the value of the scholarship. To be eligible to apply for the funding, the LLM candidate must be a Thai national admitted to any of the LLM  programs offered by the School of Law for academic year 2018 - 2019, except LLM in Healthcare Ethics and Law. The other LLM programs are as follows:

  • LLM in Law
  • LLM in Corporate Governance
  • LLM in Intellectual Property Law
  • LLM in Security & International Law
  • LLM in International Business & Commercial Law
  • LLM in International Financial Law
  • LLM in International Trade Transactions
  • LLM in Transnational Dispute Resolution
  • LLM  in Public International Law

Only one scholarship will be offered to a full-time LLM student. Selection will be based on academic merit. Selection is highly competitive and those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Once awarded, the continuation of the funding will depend on the LLM student's satisfactory progress. The other eligibility requirements include the following:

  • holder of prior law degree
  • has First Class Honors for the undergraduate law degree
  • holder of an offer for a place to the LLM program at University of Manchester for Fall 2018
  • the offer to study has been firmly accepted
  • applicant must be self-funding
  • accepted to any of the LLM programs except LLM in Healthcare Ethics and Law

Applications to the scholarship must be submitted online through the School of Law's website, and the transcripts and other documentary requirements e-mailed at Application deadline is 30 June 2018 at 5:00 pm GMT. Documents to be submitted must be in PDF form. Decision will be released by the end of July 2018.
