Understanding the LLM Scholarships and Bursaries Offered by University of London
The University of London offers up to 18 scholarships per year to postgraduate students who excel in their studies along with bursaries for LLB alumni who enter LLM, PGDip and PGCert programs.
For those of you that are unsure what bursaries are, they are basically discounts for students that are unable to afford the full fees.
Bursaries that are offered at the University of London will reduce the fees by 30%. All students who are residents of Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysia can take advantage of a 40% bursary for the PGDip, LLM, and PGCert.
In order to be considered eligible for an LLM scholarship, students need to fulfill a few requirements.
- Students need to be studiying in Russia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka or Malaysia.
- Students need to complete 12 modules and fail 0.
- At least 5 of these 12 need to be completed in a period of 13 months.
Students are chosen based on their scores in the five models they’ve completed. If by any chance a student has completed more than five, the ones with the highest scores will be included in the calculation.
Scholarship winners are notified via email when the results for the final qualifying exam season are released.
