King's College London (KCL) and the International Bar Association (IBA) partnered over a year ago to offer a world-class LLM program for ambitious law professionals, the Executive LLM. It is open to legal practitioners who have between 5 to 8 years career experience. For its 2018/19 academic year, the application deadline set is just three days away: 15 February 2018.
The KCL and IBA Executive LLM is a 2-year, part-time advance LLM program under a distance learning platform. It caters to regulatory, in-house or commercial lawyers determined to enhance their current achievements and further improve their careers. Given the few days left however, it is important to send applications as soon as possible through KCL's online application portal. A non-refundable fee of £55 will be required.
The other minimum requirements, besides the practice experience, are an overall average of no less than 65% (high 2:1 honors), English proficiency and preferably, a Master's degree. The applicable tuition fee for 2018/19 Executive LLM classes is £30,000 both for UK and overseas students.
The KCL and IBA Executive LLM is described as the only LLM program designed specifically for junior and senior partners and associates. It is suited to meet their busy schedule and lifestyle while providing them with their needed content to be leaders in their professions. However, LLM aspirants who may not meet the deadline have the option to wait for the next intake or choose from the other LLM programs offered by KCL, as follows:
