The Last Guest Lecture For LLM Students at University of Ghent Tackles Brexit
The current academic year at the University of Ghent is coming to a close and the last guest lecture for LLM students is scheduled for March 18th, 2019.
LLM students will have the opportunity to get more in-depth familiarity with one of the burning questions of international law as well as one of the hottest political topics currently - Brexit.
It is only appropriate that an academic from the UK helms this lecture. The University of Ghent will host guest lecturer Professor Piet Eeckhout from the University College London.
His lecture is titled "Brexit and the future relations between the EU and the United Kingdom".
The significance of Brexit is massive for businesses and citizens within the UK but also outside of it. A lot of major issues hang in the balance and if things go the wrong way many stand to lose a lot of money and businesses may realize that their business model ends up outside the legal and political framework as a direct consequence of Brexit.
Professor Eeckhout is going to discuss the current developments related to Brexit but also the possible solutions for collaboration between EU and UK after the fact.
The lecture will start at 18:00 and will have a Q&A section from 19:00 to 19:30 where students will have the opportunity to engage in the conversation with the professor.
Students can apply for attendance to this lecture online and get more information about it on the University of Ghent’s official website.
