Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL) will be accepting applications for an LLM program at the University of Dar es Salaam up until January 15th the following year. All interested candidates have been invited to visit TGCL’s website and prepare required documentation.
Supported by TGCL, the LLM program at the University of Dar es Salaam will be focused on East African Community and Regional Integration Law. The first campus classes are expected to start on November 1st, 2019, while the entire Master of Laws (LLM) course will last for a full year, as per usual.
Attendance will be mandatory, as well as student LLM dissertations. Since both TGCL and the University of Dar es Salaam encourage and promote academic research, all future Masters of Laws will have to write a dissertation on East African Community Law in relation to their own national law.
TGCL’s LLM scholarship package includes the university and TGCL fees, reasonable health insurance, and the cost of living stipend of 3,360 EUR. All students who complete this LLM program will receive a Master of Laws degree from the University of Dar es Salaam, as well as a law certificate from TGCL.
In order to apply, candidates have to visit TGCL’s website, prepare required documentation - a CV, birth certificate, and passport, among other relevant documents - and submit a motivational letter and a proposal of an intended research dissertation before the application deadline on January 15th.
