Scholarships for LLM in Legal Practice Offered at Northumbria Law School

The Northumbria University Law School is currently offering the Dean’s Award Scholarship to students who are admitted full-time or part-time to the LLM in Legal Practice (LLM LPC) program or the Legal Practice (LPC) postgraduate program for academic year 2018/19. The scholarship's value is £1,000 and deadline of application is 29 June 2018.

Located upon Tyne at the North East of England, the University of Northumbria at Newcastle was established in 1992 as a university. It used to be a polytechnic. While the LLM LPC is the only LLM program eligible for this scholarship, the Northumbria Law School offers other LLM programs including the following:

  • Bar Practice LLM
  • LLM in Commercial Law
  • LLM in International Commercial Law
  • LLM in International Trade Law

The Law School also offers LLM programs under the distance learning platform, as follows:

  • LLM in International Commercial Law
  • LLM in International Trade Law
  • Advanced Legal Practice LLM

The LLM LPC program prepares its students for training in the field of contracts, particularly in England and Wales. A simulated training contract application will be utilized as the selection method. The other eligibility requirements to be considered for scholarship are as follows:

  • English proficiency
  • admitted to the LPC or LLM LPC program, either full-time or part-time
  • will begin the program during the September 2018 intake
  • student must be from UK
  • student must be self-funded
  • will meet the conditions, criteria and terms provided by Northumbria University
