New Information Released About LLM and SJD Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
The University of Wisconsin-Madison has released new information about its research-based degree programs.
These research programs are designed for post-graduate students with either a JD degree from a US university or an LLB degree from a foreign University.
The LLM and SJD programs are perfect for students who intend to build their careers as legal scholars or researchers. Coursework is not required throughout these programs - they revolve around research, writing and mandatory attendance to workshops and seminars.
All students will need to complete these programs within a four year period.
The deadline for applying for their 2020 Fall intake is set for March 1st, 2020. The application will open on September 1st, 2019.
There is a non-refundable application fee of $60 that students will need to pay when submitting their documentation.
Required documentation for the application:
- Personal Statement
- Research Proposal
- Letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts
- TOEFL or IELTS score
All applications are to be submitted through the LSAC (Law School Admission Council). Students who don’t have a LSAC LLM account will need to create one to be able to apply. The same goes for SJD applicants.
