Maynooth University, officially known as the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, through its Department of Law, is now inviting applicants to the different postgraduate law programs open to both law and non-law graduates. Of these post graduate degrees, four are Master of Laws (LLM) programs, as follows:
- LLM in International Business Law
- LLM in Global Legal Studies
- LLM in International Justice
- Dual LLM Degree Program in International Business Law
The dual Master's degree (LLM) in International Business Law is offered by the Department of Law in partnership with Catholic University of Lyon, which is located in France. With this dual degree, graduates will obtain advanced legal education through a systematic understanding of the different vital issues in the field of international business law. Under this program, the first semester (September to December) will be spent at the Catholic University of Lyon while the second one (January to May) will be completed at Maynooth University in Ireland. Graduates of the dual degree will be awarded two qualifications, i.e., an LLM degree from Maynooth University and a French Master 1 Degree from the Catholic University of Lyon.
Applications to the LLM program for September 2018 intake are on-going. All the LLM programs may be taken full-time for one year or part-time for two years. Besides the LLM degrees, Maynooth University also offers an MA in Comparative Criminology and Criminal Justice program. This program, as well as the LLM in International Justice and the Higher Diploma in Legal Studies, is open even to those without a prior law degree.
