Master of Dispute Resolution Now Offered Online at Pepperdine University
To allow better access to Pepperdine Law's premier program, it was announced yesterday that the Master of Dispute Resolution (MDR) degree offered by Straus Institute will now be available online. This was made possible through Pepperdine Law's partnership wth 2U, Inc., a leading education technology company known globally.
It is common for many organizations today to be confronted with varying types of conflict, over 95% of which undergo alternative dispute resolution processes. The MDR program is designed to empower practitioners within different sectors and industries in finding resolutions to these conflicts and strategically negotiate complicated dealings instead of going to court. Student of the online MDR are assured of receiving the same degree, rigor and quality of Master's education as those taking the MRD program in residence.
Students of the online MDR may take classes wherever they can access the internet but will be required to attend two in-person residencies at Pepperdine Law's Malibu campus. They will be engaging in hands-on simulation and learning during this time, while also networking with the faculty, other colleagues, peers, and experts in conflict and dispute resolution.
The MDR program is made up of 32 units and may be completed in 28 months, part-time or 16 months, full-time. Applications to the online program are on-going with the next deadline set on 15 June 2018. Classes will start September 2018.
