Prospective students intending to acquire their LLM degree from the University of Sheffield School of Law will be pleased to know that two International LLM Scholarships will be offered to deserving LLM students for its 2018 intake. Each scholarship is worth £4,000 each.
The two International LLM Scholarships will be awarded only to chosen LLM students admitted to the Sheffield LLM, the Law School's general LLM program. Those who applied to the program will be given an application number, which is needed to apply for the scholarship. The funds from the International Scholarship may be used by the LLM student to cover living expenses or other course fees.
Along with the scholarship application form, which may be accessed from the Law School's website, the student should provide a 2,000 word essay before the deadline of 15 June 2018. The essay must contain answers to questions also provided in the website. Notifications will be sent to successful applicants before the end of July 2018.
The International Scholarship is also open to international students who already received an offer to the LLM program. Candidates from eligible countries automatically become eligible to the other scholarships offered by the University, including the International Merit Postgraduate Scholarship, which waives 50% of the tuition fee, and the Postgraduate Taught Scholarship, which amounts to £2,000.
The two mentioned scholarships are open not just to students of the Sheffield LLM program but also to the other LLM programs offered by the Law School, including the following:
- LLM in European Law
- LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law
- LLM in International Law and Global Justice
All LLM programs have a September intake and applications for the Fall 2018 classes are on-going.
