LLM Applications Open in April at Keio University Law School for the 2019 Season
Keio University established its first Master of Law (LLM) course, held in English language, back in 2017. The LLM in the Global Legal Practice thaught in English, was the first of its kind in Japan at that point.
Keio University Law School has announced that the application period for the Global Legal Practices LLM for 2019 will start in April.
The program is intended for Japanese law professionals who have a desire to hone their skills in global law while practicing and expanding their mastery over the English language. Also, the program has massive benefits for international laws students who would like to improve their familiarity with Japanese and Asian law. This is a one year course, presented completely in English so make sure that your familiarity with English language is sufficient to keep up with the curriculum.
Another big plus that Keio University offers to their students is the opportunity to get a double degree, the second one being from a partner US university. The process of getting the US degree is far shorter and less costly than it would be if you attempted to get them separately.
Potential applicants should be aware that the LLM in Global Legal Practices is very popular and that emails and applications might receive slow responses from Keio University faculty members due to the massive amount of requests they receive during the application period.
For any additional information about this LLM program, you should consult Keio’s official post.
