Gujarat Maritime University Updated Their LLM Admission Criteria
The Gujarat Maritime University has announced all the relevant changes for their LLM 2019/2020 admissions.
The two LLM programs that are impacted by the changes are:
1. General LLM in Maritime Law / International Trade Law
Students need to have an LLB degree or an equivalent with marks that exceed 55%. SC and ST students need to exceed 50% in order to be considered eligible.
All students that appear on the qualifying exam can do so provisionally providing the necessary documentation before or at the time of admission.
Students that wish to enter the General LLM program will need to take the Common Law Admission Test 2019. The test is supervised by the Consortium of National Law Universities.
2. Professional in Maritime Law / International Trade Law
Professionals with degrees from UGC, Central or State Government recognized institution, who’s marks exceed 50% and have 3 years of experience have an advantage. Professionals with experience in maritime law and international trade will be given priority.
Professionals that are currently engaged with a full-time or part-time program at GMU or other institutions are not eligible to enter the program.
These two LLM programs have high criteria and seats are limited so we advise students to apply on time. Check out the Gujarat Maritime University official website if you want all the information related to the eligibility changes and admission process. Contact their official student support channels if you find anything unclear.
