Glasgow University Offers LLM Scholarship to Law Graduates of Indian Institutions
The University of Glasgow School of Law is offering a scholarship to a deserving law graduate from a recognized institution in India who will undertake an LLM degree at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. The Master of Laws (LLM) degree must be taken during the academic year 2018-2019. The following are the eligible LLM programs that may be taken by the scholarship candidate:
- General LLM
- LLM in Corporate and Financial Law
- LLM in International Law
- LLM in Intellectual Property and Digital Economy
- LLM in International Law and Security
- LLM in International Competition Law and Policy
- LLM in International Economic Law
- LLM in International Commercial Law
The scholarship will cover 50% of the tuition of the one-year LLM program for international students. This is equivalent to £8,950. To be eligible, the student must hold an unconditional offer for the 2018 intake of the LLM program from the University. LLM students from an Indian institution will be automatically considered for the scholarship when they apply for the LLM program. No separate application is necessary.
The standard application deadline to the LLM programs for non-EU international students at the University of Glasgow School of Law is 21 July 2018. This is for the fall 2018 intake. However, those who will be considered for scholarship will be given a deadline of 30 June 2018. As such, Indian LLM students who want to be included in the roster of scholarship candidates must send their applications to the LLM program earlier and not wait for the deadline. A successful scholarship applicant will be chosen and notified by 31 July 2018.
