The University of Essex Online offers, among others, postgraduate degrees taught online. It welcomes international and UK students to partake in a flexible approach to learning while gaining quality education from a top university. The courses from the programs are delivered by Kaplan Open Learning (Essex) Limited, an experienced online learning provider.
One of the online programs it offers is the LLM in International Trade and Commercial Law. This program may be acquired with or without a prior degree via two routes: the academic entry route and the open entry route. LLM students are afforded flexible entry requirements with these two options, where not only the academic information is considered but also the work experience.
- Academic Entry Route - applicants with an undergraduate degree from any approved university that is equivalent to a UK honors degree or those with a relevant professional qualification are welcome to take this route.
- Open Entry Route - applicants with a minimum of 5 years' work experience having a senior level position may take this route.
Applicants whose first language is not English will need to have an IELTS grade of 6.5 (Academics). Those without IELTS or other equivalent qualifications (e.g. TOEFL) will be required to pass a free online English test. Students enrolled in the online LLM in International Trade and Commercial Law, who will later on decide that online education is not suitable to their need, are given 21 days to withdraw. Any initial deposit will be refunded.
LLM students of the University of Essex Online will take their degree entirely online with the use of a virtual learning platform. Graduates will be invited to attend the graduation ceremony to be held at the Colchester campus of the University of Essex.
