Dundee Law School has recently received the prestigious accolade of being ranked number one for teaching law in UK. This was the result of a 2017 National Student Survey (NSS), which confirms the exceptional standard of legal education acquired from Dundee. This is why many students who intend to pursue specialist LLM programs include Dundee on their shortlist.
The survey also ranked Dundee Law as 8th overall among 94 law schools. This is the second consecutive year that Dundee was included in the top ten in the NSS. Additionally, for the fourth year, the rate of students' overall satisfaction of Dundee Law has risen, this year at 95%. It also received a Gold rating under the category "Teaching Excellence Framework," which is the highest rating.
Dundee Law offers LLM prospective students flexibility in terms of its choice of programmes. The following LLM degrees are available, either during the September or January in-take:
- General LLM
- LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law
- LLM in International Commercial Law
- LLM in Environmental Law

The foregoing programmes may be completed within 12 months, in residence on a full-time basis. LLM students who have not yet decided on a specialised legal field may initially enroll in the general LLM program which allows them to decide later on which path to take. Distance Learning is also offered to international students who prefer to get an LLM degree online and can be done wherever they are in the world. They have three years to finish this program which begins in either January or September of each year.
