First LLM in Maritime Law to be Launched in Duba

The City Law School in London and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Academy of Law in Dubai, UAE ventured to launch the first specialized LLM in Maritime Law in the region. This program is ideal for lawyers, new graduates of law and maritime practitioners, e.g., shipbrokers, ship officers and claims handlers.

The LLM in Maritime Law will start in 2019 and will comprise of 4 modules. The topics of the courses will focus on admiralty practice, shipping contracts, commercial arbitration, insurance and international sale of goods. The program will be taught by academics from the City Law Schools, as well as specialist lecturers and legal professionals. Even those who are busywith their careers will be able to take this LLM program as it allows them to fit their studies with their professions as classes are held over weekend blocks.
