CUKH Launches Three Full-Tuition Scholarships for LL.M. Students in 2019
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has recently announced that it will be launching three full-tuition scholarships for the students who enroll in the CUHK Faculty of Law’s LL.M. program in 2019.
The Faculty of Law’s new LL.M. scholarships will not only cover the full tuition fees but also provide a living stipend of $80,000 HKD.
Since the CUHK will not award more than three scholarships to its new LL.M. students, it will use the candidates’ academic merit in the selection process in order to choose the three most outstanding students.
The Faculty of Law’s LL.M. program can be taken full-time (1-2 years) or part-time (2-3 years). The students will engage in various lectures, seminars, presentations, tutorials, and class discussions, and they will usually have three teaching hours per week.
Apart from the 17 elective courses, of which the students are required to take 12 units, they also need to take 12 units of required courses, which include:
- Common Law: Origins and Development
- Principles of Contract
- Principles of Criminal Law
- Principles of Tort.
The CUHK boasts prestigious teaching and research staff and enables more than 600 worldwide internships every year, so everyone who applies at the University has an excellent opportunity to build a strong career.
All the candidates who wish to pursue an LL.M. at the CUHK Faculty of Law and apply for the scholarship can do so in three rounds:
- January 31, 2019
- February 28, 2019
- April 12, 2019
The candidates can apply through the CUHK’s Graduate School online application process.
