Located in Bloomsbury, London in England, the Birkbeck, University of London is a constituent college of the federal University of London. It is currently offering financial assistance to deserving LLM students for academic year 2018/19. The School of Law Postgraduate Fee Awards are open to both full-time and part-time LLM candidates, whether from UK, EU or international students.
The application deadline for this scholarship is 30 June 2018. The scholarship is open to those who are offered a place to any of the following programs:
- General LLM
- LLM in International Economic Law, Justice & Development
- LLM/MA in Criminal Law & Criminal Justice
- LLM/MA Human Rights
- MSc in Global Criminology
Applicants whose first language is not English will need to provide proof of English language proficiency. The University's Research Committee may provide recommendations as to who the awardees should be. International student awardees are required to pay the portion of tuition fees not covered by the scholarship. Only new LLM students will be considered.
The School of Law Postgraduate Fee Award covers the cost of fees at EU/UK rates. These awards are offered for one year to full-time students or two years to part-time students. It will however be discontinued should the LLM student have an unsatisfactory attendance or if his progress is not confirmed.
Application to the Award can only be done once the candidate has received an offer to any of the eligible programs listed. Once the offer is received, the fee award applicant can download the application form from the Birkbeck, University of London webpage and apply.
