Berkley Law to Start Accepting LLM Application for 2020/2021 in August
If you are considering entering the LLM program offered at Berkeley Law you’ll be pleased to know that they will start receiving applications for 2020/2021 on August 1st, 2019.
Applications are to be submitted through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and there is no alternative available to this procedure. This is nothing revolutionary as LSAC handles admission for a big number of US-based law schools.
You can easily create an account on LSAC’s official website and it is free. The submission procedure is a two-step process.
- Electronic form submission - CV, Personal Statement and application fee.
- Supporting documentation submission - (Transcripts and recommendations)
If you still haven’t managed to gather the supporting documentation the faculty advises you to take care of the the first step in the submission process so the faculty has a record of you. After you’ve gathered the rest of the documentation you will submit it through LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service (CAS).
The fees that need to be taken care of are as follows:
Berkeley Law Application Fee
Price: $80.00 (Mandatory)
LSAC LLM CAS Document Assembly Fee
Price: $85.00 (Mandatory)
LSAC LLM CAS International Transcript Authentication & Evaluation Service
Price: $135.00 (Optional but recommended)
LSAC LLM CAS Report Fee
Price: $30.00 (Mandatory)
Check out Berkeley Law official post on their LLM program for a more detailed explanation of their course and application process. All inquiries should be sent to their official student support channels.
