Ranked as one of the world’s top 150 institutions by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Kingston University is a wise choice for advanced legal education. Part of the degrees it offers is a Master of Laws (LLM) program which is open to those with the following eligibility:
- honors degree in law with 2:2 degree or above; or
- joint honors degree of 2:2 or above, where the major component is in law; or
- a Graduate Diploma in Law (CPE), Bar Professional Training Course or Legal Practice Course; or
- a qualification as a barrister or solicitor.
Kingston Law School’s LLM program begins September of each year. Its duration is one year if taken full-time or two years, part-time. Applications to the program are on-going and will be accepted at least before the classes start in September 2018. Applications may still be accepted beyond this date only on a space-availability basis. Those who will require a visa to study in UK are encouraged to complete their applications and requirements by the first week of August 2018.
For more information about the LLM program that Kingston Law School offers, prospective students should consider attending the Postgraduate Drop-in Evenings to be hosted by the University. Two dates are scheduled by the University as follows:
- Wednesday 14 March 2018, 5:00pm – 7:00pm
- Wednesday 20 June 2018, 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Through these events, potential LLM candidates will have opportunities to talk to staff about the programs they are interested in, ask about funding and scholarship offerings, and learn about the facilities and accommodations extended to students.
