How to Apply for QMUL’s Partial LLM Scholarships

In relation to the earlier article on Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) School of Law's offered LLM scholarship, students will find this article helpful on how they can apply. QMUL will consider the following criteria in choosing the students to be awarded with funding:

  • Academic merit
  • Financial need
  • Professional achievements, where applicable

To be able to apply for the LLM scholarships, an offer from QMUL Law School to take the LLM program full-time, which is due to start Fall 2018, must first be acquired. Only those who apply for the LLM degree online will be eligible to apply for the scholarship. The following documents must be submitted for consideration:

  • A Personal Statement composed of no more than 1000 words must be submitted. The statement should contain information related to the criteria provided. It should explain why the student wants to take an LLM at QMUL, while specifying the modules and area of law the student is interested in. The statement should also include what the student can bring to the program and why he/she feels he/she deserves to get the scholarship. Focus must be placed on academic and professional achievements, where applicable, as well as the financial need of the applicant;
  • Prior law degree transcripts, along with other legal qualifications, if any;
  • Resume;
  • One reference letter (could be the same as the one submitted with the LLM application)

All submissions must be in English and should be completed through QMUL's online application website designed for LLM scholarships 2018/2019. Only complete and correct applications submitted on time will be processed. The deadline for submission is 19 March 2018, 4:00 pm GMT. Results will be provided starting June 2018.
