Application Deadline to Geneva Academy's LLM Program: 28 February 2018
Aspiring LLM students wanting to take their LLM degree from the world-renowned Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and Human Rights has only until 28 February 2018 to submit their applications. However, the application deadline has past for those who want to apply for scholarship to take the LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights program.
This LLM program is one of Europe's most intellectually challenging and most innovative programs in the area of IHL and human rights. It is a one-year LLM degree that provides students with comprehensive, advanced and practical training in international criminal law, as well as IHL and international law on human rights, including the interplay among them. The program will start September 2018 and end August 2019. Applications can be submitted online through the Academy's website.
To be eligible to the LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights program, the applicant should be a holder of a law degree and can demonstrate interest in HR and IHL. He should be English proficient and has a good public international law background. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
Those without a law degree may also be considered if the applicant can demonstrate significant experience and training in IHL, international HR, public international law and international criminal law. Those in the 4th your of their law degree may also apply with their current transcript and grade to be the basis for admission.
Besides this program, the Geneva Academy offers two other LLM programs: the Executive Master in International Law in Armed Conflicts and Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice.
