Alex Chernov Scholarship for Indian Students Attending Melbourne Law School LLM Program
If you are Indian and have applied or are planning to apply for the LLM program at Melbourne Law you should be aware that you’re potentially eligible for receiving a scholarship.
The Alex Chernov Scholarship got its name from Melbourne Law’s alumnus Hon Alex Chernov AC QC. Mr. Chernov is a former Governor of Victoria, Judge of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Victoria, and chancellor of the University of Melbourne but not only this. He is also a great humanitarian and a man focused on helping his community.
The scholarship covers the entire tuition for the one-year full-time LLM program and two payment of AUD$10,000. Students who get this scholarship will also have the opportunity to do paid research work at an AUD$40 per hour rate with an earning cap of AUD$10,000.
There are three scholarships available in total. All Indian students who were offered a place for the start of the year intake and applied by October 31st the year prior, as well as students, offered a spot for the mid-year intake who applied by April 30th that year will be considered for the scholarship.
Students will be considered for this scholarship based on their academic merit.
