Reading draft exclusion clauses in a contract (2)

A. The parties intend that no term of this agreement may be enforced by a third party pursuant to the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

B. This agreement inures to the benefit of the Company and Wincheap City Council only. No third party shall have any rights under or in connection with this agreement by virtue of the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

C. This agreement shall not give rise to any third party rights. Accordingly, the application of any relevant legislation purporting to confer such rights shall be and is hereby excluded with respect to these terms.

D. Nothing in this agreement confers or purports to confer on any third party other than a successor in interest to either party to this agreement any benefit or any right to enforce any term of this agreement. For the purposes of this agreement, any third party who takes over the business of one of the parties to this agreement shall be deemed a successor in interest.
