Commercial lawyers spend most of their time on non-contentious matters, such as drafting contracts and advising on business law matters. However, when a contract is breached, the injured party will often need to consult a lawyer to see what remedies, if any, are available. Legal disputes are more often than not settled out of court. When a dispute cannot be settled, the traditional route is litigation through the courts. However, other forms of dispute resolution are becoming increasingly popular.
