(COMPETITION LAW; FINANCE) when the actions of one firm has an impact on competing firms, which then coordinate their behaviour as if they were acting in collusion (=illegal cooperation)
This form of deliberate parallel behaviour generally has the same economic effect as a price fixing agreement.
