obscene publication noun

something published in print or online that is likely to deprave and corrupt (=to make the reader or viewer morally bad). Obscene publications are usually to do with sex, but can be about something else. The question as to whether a publication is obscene will usually be a matter for a judge or a jury.
He denied a charge of trafficking obscene publications.
