Definitions of re-examination

  • (of a lawyer during a trial) the action of asking your witness more questions after cross-examination(=questioning) by the lawyer representing the other side in the case

    If the witness has an explanation that she has not yet had the opportunity to give, re-examination provides that opportunity.
