For three decades Myrlie Evers waited and worked for the conviction of the white supremacist who murdered her husband Medgar. This is a compelling film that follows the final trial, carefully recreating the details of Myrlie’s fight for justice. The movie carefully recreates the details of case. Some of the characters are played by the actual participants in this story. The English is accessible, though there is some dialect, and the script is interspersed with legal English vocabulary associated civil rights, trials, human rights, and procedure.
