“Legal Writing” presents the key writing skills essential for professionals working in the international legal community. Using authentic documents written by practicing lawyers, the course provides a detailed analysis of over fifty legal texts, ranging from email and memos to contracts and sale purchase agreements. Each unit takes full advantage of modern blended learning pedagogy, including both computer feedback and extensive written[.2] and oral feedback from a qualified TransLegal lawyer-linguist. The online exercises include multiple choice, fill-in-the-blanks, true-false and matching exercises that are designed to help you develop your essential legal writing skills through context, testing and reinforcement. All of your results are stored in a database that you can access at any time to monitor your progress. The written tasks include proofreading, drafting and redrafting following feedback, and are based on model legal documents written in both British and American English.
