When choosing a particular school to pursue a Masters of Law (an LLM), potential applicants often rely on various law school rankings. Rankings can be a useful guide in determining the reputation and quality of a particular law school. But what about LLM Rankings? Where is the best place to find LLM Rankings? It’s important to note that there are very few (if any) rankings systems which refer solely to LLMs. Also, the goals and needs of LLM students often differ from those wishing to attend the law school to obtain their initial postgraduate degree.
One of the reasons there are virtually no LLM Rankings anywhere on the Internet is because of the subjectivity involved when deciding which LLM is right for you. Potential LLM students are often more concerned with things like the subject matter of the courses offered, the location of the school, the cost of living of the city where the school is located, the size of the LLM classes, the potential for those holding an LLM to get a job in the city where the law school is located and the starting salary for lawyers in that city. For this reason, it is nearly impossible to come up with a list of . Each individual has different needs and priorities. Potential applicants should examine as much available information as possible and make a decision based on the overall consensus rather than any one ranking.
TransLegal recognises that those considering pursuing an LLM often prioritise different factors when selecting a school to attend. For that reason, we have come up with a unique LLM ranking system that takes into account the wide array of determinative factors. Visitors to the LLM Rankings page on our site can sort and search by the size of the LLM program, the cost of living of the city where the school is located, the number of students in a particular LLM program, the ranking of the law school, the number of LLM programs at a particular school or the particular subject matter of the courses offered. This can be an essential tool in determining which school is the best fit for you.
