Money and the law (1)

This quiz tests the vocabulary used to describe costs and payments in legal contexts. Money is central to much of the work of the commercial lawyer, whether it is advising a business on capitalisaton issues, drafting watertight contracts to avoid expensive litigation lawsuits, suing for damages or billing a client.

Money can also be an issue in criminal law. For example, victims of crime may be entitled to some form of compensation and convicted criminals may be required to pay a fine or return the proceeds of criminal activities.
