de minimis claim noun


a claim for an amount of damages that is less than the agreed minimum claim under a contract. According to the terms of a de minimis clause, the breaching party is not liable to the non-breaching party for de minimis claims.
According to the terms of the supply agreement, de minimis claims may not be brought by either party.
