Government RelationsGovernment relations is an educational process: Educating clients about the U.S. governmental process; TransLegal’s Government Relations group facilitates the representation of businesses in the United States public policy arena and provides an insider’s understanding of Washington, D.C. With two former aides to key members of the U.S. Senate, our Government Relations staff is experienced in law, government, politics, and the private sector and possesses essential knowledge of, and contacts in, Washington. Capitalizing on this experience we connect our European clients and Washington – bridging the gap between disparate systems. We also gather intelligence on pending legislation and policy initiatives in order to prepare clients for legislative and political change. We offer seminars on how businesses can influence the law-making process in Washington. Additionally, TransLegal monitors and provides regular reports on issues of specific interest to its clients. These customized reports outline the key information clients need and ensure that the latest developments are communicated. As consultants, we work with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s needs and determine the areas where U.S. law impacts its business. Subsequently, we alert clients about legislative activities in those areas, provide an assessment – including analysis of legislative needs and relevant interest groups and lobbyists, and train staff to recognize issues before they become problems.
